Recent research* by first direct, winner of the 2013 uSwitch Best Account Opening Service and Overall Best Current Account Provider Awards, has found that 44% of UK adults have never switched their current account and a further 27% have only moved their banking once.

Nearly two thirds have never switched their ISA provider  Research carried out on behalf of first direct has found that 62 per cent* of the UK population with an ISA have never transferred it to another provider.   The average pot for each UK ISA holder will reach over £10,000** by the end of the 2012/2013 tax year.

On Tuesday 31 August 90 people in first direct's Hamilton call centre took the plunge with a sponsored bungee jump in aid of ChildLine.  The brave Hamilton troops jumped off a crane from 180ft in the car park to raise over £6,200 which could help the charity answer 1550 calls.  Related article: www.newsroom.firstdirect.co m/a...
