From today, 14th October, first direct customers will be able to use Paym to make secure payments of up to £350 per day to friends, family and anyone else using the Paym service with just a mobile phone number from the first direct Banking on the go App.

Today (26 June 2014) first direct has launched a Windows Phone 8 version of its ‘Banking on the Go’ mobile App.  This follows on from its recently added BlackBerry 10 App and means the bank’s mobile offering is now available across four platforms (iOS, Android, BlackBerry 10 and Windows Phone 8).

The first direct iPhone App continues to be extremely popular with our customers. To date over 120,000 customers have downloaded it and usage is growing week on week, with over 2 million log ons using the App and 400,000 payments made on the go!   But that doesn't mean we're complacent; we've listened to feedback and made some improvements.

Online and 24-hour telephone bank, first direct, has become the first UK bank to launch a true transactional, Banking 'on the go' App for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch. The App, launched today on the Apple App Store, allows first direct customers to check balances, view the last 20 account transactions, make payments and transfer money between accounts.
