first direct is reducing its offset Mortgage rate by 0.1% to 4.50% (4.6% APR), with immediate effect, following today's base rate cut announced by the Bank of England. For a typical customer with a mortgage of £100,000 over 25 years, this reduction will mean that they save £5.69 per month, or £1,707 over the term of their loan.
