first direct proudly supports its employees and the TA

On Friday 26 June, Jane Moon and Dawn Hopkins from first direct attended Number 10 Downing Street to meet the Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Jane, a Call Centre Representative at first direct and a SSgt in the Territorial Army and Dawn, Jane's Manager, were guests of the Prime Minister at a reception to thank employers and specially selected reservists from the TA for their support and valuable contribution to the Armed Forces.

In 2008, Jane was posted to Iraq as a watch keeper based at Basra Airport.  Jane commented: "first direct have been incredibly supportive of my membership of the TA, particularly when I was sent to Iraq. That support includes providing me with extra time off of for TA training. This reception was a great opportunity to say thank you."
